The much-awaited Asia Cup 2025 event is scheduled to take place from 5 September to 21 September. After a lot of deliberation, the Continental Cup will be played among India, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Pakistan, UAE, Oman, and Hong Kong. The event will be held in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and will be played in the T20 format.
For the unversed, the Asia Cup event was in the news for several reasons, and numerous reports mentioned that the event will likely be called off. However, according to the TOI report, the Continental Cup will finally be played and also give the teams a very good chance to prepare for the T20 World Cup 2026, which will be played in India and Sri Lanka.

Due to political tensions between India & Pakistan, the Asia Cup was in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. Also, the former was the host nation to conduct the showpiece event. However, since India and Pakistan's recent agreement to play the games in a neutral venue, the Continental Cup will be played in the UAE.
India & Pakistan games set to grab major eyeballs
Yet again, as it always happens in every ICC event, or the Asia Cup, the biggest spotlight will be on the India vs Pakistan match. The two teams are likely to meet three times in the group stages, and they can also possibly meet in the final if they both qualify. India is the defending champion of the Asia Cup.
