The first major assignment for Team India ahead of the T20 World Cup will be the Asia Cup 2025, set to begin on September 9th in the UAE. The defending champions, led by Suryakumar Yadav and Gautam Gambhir, have landed in Dubai as the continental cup begins to take shape.
The first batch of arrivals included Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir, Suryakumar Yadav, and Hardik Pandya, as these players gear up for the training camp at the ICC Academy in Dubai.

Unlike previous years, when the full Indian squad would assemble in Mumbai and fly out together for major tournaments, this time things are different. Players and support staff are arriving in Dubai in a staggered manner. With domestic commitments ongoing for many, the BCCI has relaxed travel protocols, allowing players to fly out directly from their respective cities.

Players yet to join the squad, like Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh, will arrive later after fulfilling their Duleep Trophy duties.. Meanwhile, vice-captain Shubman Gill has already joined the squad, sharing a photo from the hotel.
With all players expected to join soon, India will begin training at the ICC Academy. Every player in the squad is expected to take the Bronco Test fitness assessment. Once they have completed the fitness test, training camp will start under the supervision of Gautam Gambhir.
India will kick off their continental campaign against hosts UAE on September 9th, with the highly anticipated clash against Pakistan scheduled for September 14th at the Dubai International Stadium. Stay tuned for more updates.
