Former Indian spinner has been working as a commentator eversince announcing his retirement from the game. Very recently, he was part of the Star Sports commentary team for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Jatin Sapru, the popular host of Star Sports also does commentary on the game, besides hosting cricket shows for the channel. Both were on air together during a commentary stint in the Champions Trophy.
After India's win in the Champions Trophy final, Jatin took a light-hearted dig at Harbhajan Singh. Soon posts of the same went viral on social media and there were rumours of verbal battle between the two of them.

Jatin's post that he shared on his official Instagram handle went viral on social media allowing the rumours to become speculations.
“With all due respect, it’s my humble request to the concerned authority ki aage se mujhe Bhajji Sir ke saath partner naa karein. 🙏🏽 Unhone mujhe bolne ka mauka hi nahi diya. I don’t think it’s fair" said Jatin in his post.

The fans on the internet soon tried figuring out more details about it. The post sparked various theories wondering if tensions had flared between the duo during the tournament’s commentary. However, the truth was finally revealed. Harbhajan was trying to hog the limelight in the commentary box as he called the shots during India's winning moment from the commentary box not allowing Jatin to have his share of it.
“Arey sir log sirf aapki awaaz ko sunna pasand karte hai, dusra koi bolne laga toh channel change kar dete hai,” joked one user. Others pointed it out as a marketing gimmick, "Don’t worry, it’s a marketing tactic".
Jatin Sapru has been associated with Star Sports for more than a decade now. He has worked both in India and abroad for the channel as a broadcaster and commentator. People have loved his voice in the commentary box. In recent times, he famously called Suryakumar Yadav's catch in the T20 World Cup 2024 final in the Caribbean that was won by the Men in Blue.
