Jasprit Bumrah had a relatively tough day with the ball on Day 2 of the Headingley Test. He was unfortunate with catches being dropped of his bowling and in the final over of the day's play should have had Harry Brook's wicket.
India owned day 1 of the Test match, having scored more than 350 runs and losing just three wickets. However, England came back hard on day 2, bowling out India for 471 runs when at one point it looked like India should have scored well over 550.
Sai Sudharshan and Karun Nair scored ducks and when India's turn came with the ball, the other bowlers did not back up Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah bowled 13 overs and took all three wickets to fall as he gave away 48 runs. He should have had a fourth as England finished 209 runs for three wickets, still trailing by 262 runs.

He Is Expected To Pick Up Wickets In Every Spell - Ravi Shastri On Jasprit Bumrah
Bumrah dismissed Root for the record tenth time in Test cricket. The Indian pacer was immaculate with his line and length. He bowled four no-balls on day 2 and one of them had Brook dismissed. Meanwhile, Ravi Shastri is already concerned with Bumrah with what he saw on day 2.
Speaking to Sky Sports and Shastri slammed the rest of the Indian pacers for not backing up Jasprit Bumrah while adding that he expects the other bowlers to stand up.
"I’m really concerned about Bumrah and what his workload will be as the series progresses, because he is the one man who is expected to pick wickets every spell he bowls. I just hope someone at the other end puts their hands up," he told Sky Cricket.
Nasser Hussain also raised his concern with Bumrah not being backed by his bowlers and fielders. Yashasvi Jaiswal dropped Ollie Pope at third slip while Ravindra Jadeja dropped Ben Duckett at gully both of Bumrah's bowling.
"With how unorthodox he is, they could have had more wickets if they had caught well off him. It will be a concern for India the drop off from when Bumrah is bowling to the rest. But it is a small sample size, the others will get into the series" Hussain stated.

England Trail By 262 Runs
England are still trailing by 262 runs ahead of the third day's play. They will look to get as close to the Indian score as possible. Meanwhile, while all eyes will be on Bumrah, the rest of the Indian bowlers need to step up on Day 3.
