The Indian team has reached England for the upcoming Test series against England. Both teams will be playing a five-match test series which will kick off the World Test Championship for both teams. The first Test starts in Headlingly from June 20.
England have played a Test series against Zimbabwe leading into this series. Their batters have had a good hit-out session with the openers and the middle-order scoring plenty of runs.
India A, on the other hand, played matches against England Lions where several batters impressed, particularly Karun Nair and Sarfaraz Khan.

India's Young Guns Await Big Test
Once the IPL ended, all the players assembled in the UK and have started their training session under the watchful eyes of head coach Gautam Gambhir.
With Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli having announced their Test retirements, Shubman Gill was named India's new Test skipper. Rishabh Pant was named his deputy.
Former cricketers are expecting this to be a tough series with the senior duo and the likes of Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane. However, the young Indian Test team have a point to prove.
Meanwhile, veteran journalist Vimal Kumar has been sharing continuous updates from India's preparations back in the UK. He has been sharing YouTube videos of how the players are shaping up for the big series. In one such video, he spoke about Bumrah bowling quality deliveries to new Indian Test skipper Shubman Gill.
In another video, he spoke about how Gautam Gambhir has been continuously talking to Sai Sudharshan who has earned his maiden Test call-up on the back of his brilliant performance in IPL 2025. He ended up winning the Orange Cap in the season, scoring 759 runs in 15 matches at an average of 54.21.
In another interesting video, Rishabh Pant had a go at Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj. Pant scored an unbeaten 118 in the last match for Lucknow Super Giants against RCB who eventually won the title. Pant who struggled to find form throughout the season, came good finally in the last league match of the season.

India Missing Their Big Guns Vs England
Along with the likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, Mohammed Shami has not been included in the final squad for the Test series. He suffered from recurring knee injuries during the IPL. However, the experienced pacer said that he is working hard to make a comeback.
