Dewald Brevis yet again showed why he is rated very highly in the cricketing circles. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star scored a brisk 25-ball 42 runs to take CSK to a competitive score of 187 runs against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Arun Jaitely Stadium in Delhi. Brevis came to the crease when CSK had lost half of the side inside 10 overs. However, as he has often shown, Brevis kept playing his shots and enabled CSK to post a challenging score.
Apart from the South African star, MS Dhoni and Shivam Dube chipped in with useful cameos. However, Brevis hogged the limelight, as he kept going when CSK could have easily folded. RR missed the trick by not bringing their strike bowlers early.
Yudhvir Singh was the pick of the bowler as he finished with three wickets. He was well supported by Akash Madhwal who also picked up three wickets. The duo's efforts were pivotal in CSK finishing with a below par score.

Advantage CSK as pressure on RR batters to hunt the target down
It wont be wrong to say CSK head into the second session slightly happier of the two. Although they could have loved have more, RR bowlers bowled extremely well and restricted CSK to below 200 runs.
