Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) spinner Digvesh Rathi is back in the news after his stellar season in IPL 2025. The mystery spinner ended the season with 14 wickets and was one of the positives from LSG's indifferent season.
After playing on the big stage, he is back to playing local cricket and he recently took a fifer. The video of him taking a fifer went viral on social media.
In what was a fabulous spell, he bowled three batters and dismissed two batters LBW to complete a fifer. None of the batters could read Rathi's mystery spin and his spell left even his teammates surprised.

Sanjeev Goenka Left Stunned By Digvesh Rathi's Heroics In Local Game
Not only his teammates, LSG owner Sanjeev Goenka was also left spellbound with Rathi's recent heroics. Goenka shared a viral video on his Twitter handle and also left a note.
"Stumbled upon this clip of Digvesh Rathi taking 5 in 5 in a local T20 game. Just a glimpse of the talent that made him a breakout star for @LucknowIPL in IPL 2025," Sanjeev Goenka tweeted on Monday.
Digvesh Rathi was an unknown commodity till the Super Giants picked him in the IPL for 30 lakhs. He became an overnight sensation with his performances for the franchise. His notebook-style cel celebrations became very popular during the tournament. It also landed him in trouble as he was banned for a match in the season as well. He ultimately ended IPL 2025 with 14 wickets from 13 matches at an economy of 8.25 and an average of 30.64. He was certainly the most impactful player for his franchise this season.

Rathi On His Notebook Celebration
During the season, in one of his pre-game interviews, Digvesh Rathi also opened up on his stylish notebook celebration.
"Jab bhi koi tournament hota hai, main notebook leke jaata hoon. Aur usme sabke naam likhne hain mujhe (Whenever there is a tournament, I carry a notebook. I want to write everyone's names in it)," Digvesh said in a video posted by Lucknow Super Giants on social media.
While the celebration landed him in trouble multiple times during the tournament, it only showed his true passion for the game. Rathi remains one of the players to watch out for in the next IPL season.
