Mumbai Indians (MI) will battle it out with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the last league match of the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025 season. MI are already through to the playoffs, but they would be eager to win their last group stage match against RCB and top the points table. Whoever tops the points table will directly play the final. MI would be aiming to put on a dominating performance against RCB, who are on a five-match losing streak.
RCB are out of the playoff race, but with nothing to lose, the team may play boldly and finish the WPL 2025 season on a high. The defending champions have had a horror season this year, failing to even win a single game in Bengaluru.

MI started their home run by winning as they staved off GG's brave fight by nine runs. MI are yet to lose a match at the Brabourne Stadium. As usual, their loyal fans turned out in huge numbers to cheer for the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side. MI have once again dominated the league stages of WPL by finding different players to step up in various situations. The batting has been led brilliantly by Nat Sciver-Brunt, Hayley Matthews, and Harmanpreet. All three players' contributions have enabled MI to post huge scores batting first as well in chasing.
The bowling is also looking in fine form with Amelia Kerr and Sciver-Brunt chipping in wickets in the middle phase of the innings. There was a slight concern regarding Yastika Bhatia's form, but the wicketkeeper batter roared back to form by chipping in with a useful 4-ball 13 runs in the backend of the innings against GG.
On the other hand, RCB's over-reliance on Ellyse Perry has cost them a playoff spot. The talismanic all-rounder has almost carried RCB's batting lineup singlehandedly without any support from Smriti Mandhana and Meghna. RCB's bowling has also looked woefully out of form, with no bowlers apart from Renuka Singh in the top wicket-taker's list. The absence of Shryeanka Patil and Asha Shobana has haunted RCB the most. The two spinners were instrumental in the middle phase of WPL 2024.
