Mumbai Indians Women and Royal Challengers Bangalore women are playing the last league game in WPL 2025 currently. MI won the toss and opted to bowl first. Smriti Mandhana played a captain's knock as the Bengaluru side powered to 199/3 in 20 overs.
Having already been knocked out of the tournament, RCB had nothing to lose after being asked to bat first. Mandhana played with a sense of freedom as she scored 53 off 37 balls with six fours and two sixes. Along with Sabbhineni Meghana (26 off 13) they scored heavily inside the powerplay and put the Mumbai Indians on the backfoot.
Meghana scored at a strike rate of 200 and it was Hayley Mathews who bounced out her finally ending the partnership between her and Mandhana. Then Mandhana shared a 59-run stand with Elysse Perry who scored an unbeaten 49 off 38 deliveries. In the process, she became the leading run-scorer in WPL history.

RCB Set MI 200 To Chase For Top Spot Finish
For the final five overs, it was first the Ellyse Perry - Richa Ghosh (36 off 22) partnership that helped the RCB side to get past the 150-run mark. The duo added 53-runs for the third wicket. Richa as she has done throughout her career for RCB came in and played the finisher's role to perfection for them with a bit of luck. She was finally dismissed by Mathews as she tried to make the most of the final overs.
After Richa was dismissed in the 18th over, Georgia Wareham (31* off 10) came in and added an unbeaten stand of 46 runs off just 16 deliveries. In the last five overs, RCB scored 70 runs and ended up posting 199/ 3 in their allotted 20 overs. RCB had scored over 70 runs in the middle overs as well.
