Yesh Sagar’s controversy in Bangladesh Premier League

Yesha was recently hired by the Chittagong Kings for the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024-25, where she was expected to be a prominent face of the franchise. However, her time with the Kings was cut short when she allegedly failed to fulfill certain contractual obligations, including attending a sponsorship dinner and completing promotional activities. This led to a public dispute and her departure from the BPL before the tournament concluded.

However, she later clarified that the dinner was not an obligation as per her contract and she left the BPL as Chittagong Kings served her a legal notice which she left was highly inappropriate.

"I've noticed a lot of speculation lately, and I want to clarify a few things about my time with the BPL. Payments from Chittagong Kings were delayed and remain partially unpaid. I was also asked to participate in an advertisement for one of their partners, which was not part of my contract. My visa expired on January 19th, and despite repeated assurances, it was never extended. They held onto my passport for two weeks, providing me with conflicting answers each time," Yesha shared on Instagram.
"After multiple follow-ups, I finally received it back without a visa. The very same night got my passport, just a couple of hours later, I received a legal notice that was highly inappropriate and contained contradictions to my original contract. Given all that was happening, and knowing I was in the country under the franchise's responsibility, I didn't feel safe and decided to leave after consulting with a few local well-wishers," she added.
