Gaddafi Stadium is located in the heart of Lahore and is an iconic cricket venue. It is owned and managed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and offers a seating plan that can accommodate around 34,000 spectators after it was renovated recently. The stadium is named after former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.
The Gaddafi stadium serves as the home ground for Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and features the Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis Enclosures, VIP boxes and the Grand Lounge.
In preparation for the Champions Trophy 2025, the stadium was given a new look. The main pavilion, which once carried its old title, is now called the Jinnah End, while the far-side pavilion has been renamed the Iqbal End.

In Test cricket, the highest team total recorded here is an imposing 699/5, achieved by Pakistan against India in 1989. At the other extreme, New Zealand were bundled out for just 73 versus Pakistan in 2002, which is the lowest Test total at this venue.
Former Pakistan batter Mohammad Yousuf scored 1,125 runs here during his career, which is the most by a batter at this stadium. Legendary Pakistan all-rounder Imran Khan holds the record of the highest wickets here, adding 56 scalps in 11 matches to his name.
The highest individual Test score here came from ex-Pakistan player Inzamam-ul-Haq, who smashed a remarkable 329 against New Zealand in 2002. Another cricketer from Pakistan, Abdul Qadir, took nine wickets for 56 runs at this ground in 1987 versus England, which are the best bowling figures in a Test innings here.

In ODIs, this stadium has witnessed some strong clashes too. The highest ODI total here is 375/3, posted by Pakistan against Zimbabwe in May 2015. Conversely, the lowest ODI team total at this venue is 75 all out when Pakistan collapsed against Sri Lanka in January 2009.
Shoaib Malik has scored more runs at Gaddafi Stadium in ODIs, amassing 1,030 runs in 23 matches. Wasim Akram leads the bowling charts with 23 wickets in 18 matches.

Babar Azam has been the most prolific batter here in T20Is, scoring 722 runs in 21 matches. Haris Rauf tops the wicket-taking list with 18 scalps in 12 matches.
Mohammad Haris’ unbeaten 107 against Bangladesh in June 2025 is the highest individual score in the format here. The best bowling performance in a T20I at this stadium came from South Africa’s Dwaine Pretorius, who claimed 5/17 in the 2021 series.
