The most speculated question in recent times has been: who will be the next BCCI president, succeeding Roger Binny in one of the most prestigious roles in Indian cricket?
While names of a few seasoned administrators like Rajeev Shukla have popped up, one name that truly made waves was none other than the Master Blaster, Sachin Tendulkar. Reports claimed that the legend was being considered or even looking to contest for the BCCI’s top post.

SRT Sports Management Pvt. Ltd. has issued a formal statement denying all such rumours.
“It has come to our attention that certain reports and rumours have been circulating regarding Mr. Sachin Tendulkar being considered, or nominated, for the position of President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI),”
The official statement read.
“We wish to categorically state that no such development has taken place. We urge all concerned to refrain from giving credence to unfounded speculations,” the statement added.
Meanwhile, the post of BCCI president remains vacant after Roger Binny stepped down earlier this year upon turning 70. As per the board’s constitution, no office-bearer is allowed to continue beyond that age.
